What to expect
City of Garbage Collectors. We will walk through the poor Manshiyat Nasir district on the eastern outskirts of the city, where garbage from all over Cairo is taken. It is inhabited by hereditary Zabaleen garbage collectors. You will discover the peculiarities of their origin and everyday life.

The Monastery of St. Simeon. You will visit the largest religious building in the Middle East, accommodating up to 20 thousand parishioners. The role of the usual church vaults is played by the walls of the cave.

“The City of the Dead”. This is the name of the huge necropolis at the foot of Mount Muqattam. This is a Muslim cemetery, where ordinary people and representatives of the nobility were buried for several centuries. You will see how ordinary tombstones coexist here with majestic mausoleums.
