Two-day excursion to Cairo and Giza

We have prepared this two-day program for you so that you have time to see all the interesting historical sites. The first day is dedicated to Cairo. The program includes the Coptic quarter, mosques, the oldest market in Africa and much more. And the second is exploring Giza. Together with a guide, you will visit the pyramids, see the Sphinx and immerse yourself in the history of Ancient Egypt.

Day 1: Cairo
We will visit the historical monuments of the Egyptian capital, appreciate its color. We will visit the Christian and medieval Islamic capital.
We will begin our excursion with a visit to the Cairo Museum. You will see statues of pharaohs, sarcophagi, mummies, ancient treasures found in the tomb of Tutankhamun. A professional guide will tell you the history of the museum and its exhibits. Then we will go for a walk along the Nile, and then stop for lunch at a restaurant.

In the second part of the program, we will visit Old Cairo, which is also called the “Coptic capital”. We will visit old Christian churches, visit the Coptic cemetery. We will walk along the alleys of the Coptic quarter, which will remind you of old Jerusalem.

Day 2: Giza
In the morning we will pick you up and continue our journey. We will visit the most important pyramids of Ancient Egypt – Cheops, Chephrenos and Mikrinos. You will see the very first stone pyramid in the history of mankind, look at the Sphinx and the tombs of sacred bulls, visit the sacred and mysterious Serapeum. Go down to the pyramid of Teti and visit the necropolis of the Egyptian pharaohs Dahshur. You will also visit Memphis – an open-air museum – and examine the 3,250-year-old statue of Ramses.

During the excursion, the guide will tell you about the history of Egypt and the modern life of the country, about the traditions and customs of the locals. You will learn about the dynasties of the pharaohs, get acquainted with the mythology of the ancient Egyptians and discover the secrets of the construction of the pyramids.
